Hong Kong Students Visit the RHIC

August 29, 2019 - 20 Students Through Exchange Program Tour the Simulation Center

A group of 20 students from Hong Kong, ages 13 to 17, toured the RHIC Simulation Center in partnership with Indiana State University's College of Health and Human Services and South Vermillion High School. The students are visiting our community to learn about various career opportunities in the United States, specifically careers in Human Health and Technology.  South Vermillion has hosted a group from Hong Kong for several years and many of the students that have come for the visit have come back and attended universities and community colleges across the United States.

From South Vermillion's Exchange Program Coordinator Kathy Clark:

"Our visit was incredible! It by far, exceeded my expectations. I am waiting to hear back from the teachers and students in Hong Kong, and will let you know their thoughts when I hear back. Honestly, that day was the highlight of our week. We did a lot of things during their 10 day visit, but our visits to (the RHIC) Simulation Center and the CHHS was fantastic!  Boy, did we get so much more than I had ever expected. "
