The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects health care to be the fastest growing employment industry between 2014 and 2024.  The U.S. Department of Labor expects health care will generate 3 million new  jobs between 2006 and 2016, more than any other industry.  Perhaps the biggest benefit of being a health care professional is that you will make a difference in people’s lives.  Whether you work as a nurse, an occupational therapist, a dietician, or a medical doctor, to name just a few careers, you will be helping to make our world a little healthier, a little safer and a little better. 
The RHIC's primary mission is the develop a confident and competent healthcare workforce.  With the use of simulation as a method for training, the RHIC provides opportunities for current and future health professionals to become proficient at their various roles.
 In conjunction with its various partners, the RHIC goes out into the community to show students in high school what is involved in the work of healthcare professionals, and they see what technologies that will be available as part of their training.
